Tumakuru: In a spectacular display of talent and sportsmanship, the students of the University College of Arts, Tumkur University, have brought laurels to the institution by winning top prizes at the prestigious Darpana 2025 Management Festival held at Channabasaveshwara Institute of Technology, Gubbi on June 5 and 6.
The men's cricket team clinched the First Prize, showcasing their sporting mettle against fierce competition. Not stopping at cricket, Tumkur University students also bagged the First Prize in the men’s category of the inter-collegiate chess competition, with standout performances by:
Ravishankar Revannavar – First Prize in Men's Chess Category
Siddanna Shivaputra Eshwarappa Gol – Second Prize in Men’s Chess Category
In the literary segment, a Second Prize in the women’s category for creative writing added further feathers to the university’s cap.
Dr. Dakshayani G., Principal of University College of Arts, personally felicitated 17 student achievers, awarding them certificates of achievement in a proud moment that marked academic and extracurricular excellence.
