Karnataka Budget 2024
The Karnataka Budget 2024 seems like a Bengaluru-centered budget. It highlights various projects aimed at upgrading Bengaluru, such as upgrading 7 sewage treatment plants at ₹441 crore, installing a Traffic Signal Control System at 28 majorjunctions in Bengaluru, and allocating ₹15,611 crore for Namma Metro phase-3.

Most of its plans are meant to upgrade Bengaluru but do not mention other districts. On the other hand, it allocates ₹5,000 crore for the development of the Kalyana Karnataka region, emphasizing infrastructure development during the year 2024-25.

Despite the mention of allocating funds for the development of the Kalyana Karnataka region, there is a lack of clarity on the specific initiatives that will address the infrastructure needs of this area. They have not clearly mentioned what kind of initiatives they are taking to develop North Karnataka.

Every time North Karnataka is ignored, if the state government gives ice cream, by the time it reaches North Karnataka, only a stick will remain in the hands of the people. Additionally, the budget neglected the 7th Pay Commission pay scale and other benefits. The 2024 Budget is filled with many loopholes.
