Transport Minister Inaugurates New AC Bus Route Covering 8 Temples in Bengaluru; Service Starts May 31
Bengaluru: In a move aimed at promoting spiritual tourism and enhancing public travel experience, Karnataka’s Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy on Wednesday inaugurated the ‘Divya Darshana’ package tour, a new initiative by the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC).
The AC bus tour service, set to begin on May 31, will run on weekends and public holidays, connecting devotees to eight prominent temples in and around Bengaluru. The tour is part of BMTC’s expanding efforts to combine urban mobility with cultural and spiritual enrichment.
“BMTC is not just a transport agency — it is now a cultural bridge,” said Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy.
“With ‘Divya Darshana’, we are bringing citizens closer to Karnataka’s rich spiritual heritage.”
