Senior IAS Officer Succeeds Ramachandran R., Bringing Rich Administrative Experience to Karnataka’s Transport Sector
Bengaluru: In a significant reshuffle within Karnataka’s transport administration, Akram Pasha, I.A.S., officially assumed charge as the new Managing Director of the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) on Thursday. The charge was ceremonially handed over by Ramachandran R., I.A.S., Managing Director of Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC), who had been holding additional charge of KSRTC.
With an extensive track record in governance, Akram Pasha brings with him a wealth of experience across key state departments. He has previously served as Commissioner of the Karnataka Housing Board and the Labour Department, and held the crucial post of Deputy Commissioner in Hassan and Kolar districts.
“KSRTC plays a vital role in connecting Karnataka’s heartland. I look forward to strengthening its efficiency, safety, and people-centric service,” said Akram Pasha after taking charge.
This change in leadership comes at a crucial time as KSRTC is in the midst of revamping its infrastructure and enhancing its digital services to improve passenger convenience across the state’s urban and rural transport corridors.
