New feeder services to enhance last-mile connectivity across Electronics City and Hosur Road
Bengaluru: In a major step to strengthen Metro connectivity and enhance last-mile public transport, Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy on Tuesday flagged off new Metro Feeder Bus Routes for the recently operational Yellow Line Metro. The inauguration ceremony, organised by the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC), was held in the presence of key dignitaries and transport officials.
"These feeder services will significantly improve last-mile connectivity, benefiting thousands of commuters who rely on the Yellow Line Metro for their daily travel," said Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy.

BMTC's Commitment to City Transport
BMTC operates 65,206 trips daily, covering 12.85 lakh kilometres with a fleet of 6,217 buses, serving an average of 44 lakh passengers every day. The corporation has been actively expanding Metro feeder bus services since their launch on October 11, 2023, at KR Puram Railway Station and on October 28, 2023, at BTM Layout Bus Stand.
Since its inception, 2,750 feeder trips have been operated across 45 routes with 214 schedules, connecting multiple metro stations across Bengaluru. Over 1.20 lakh passengers use feeder services daily.
Technology-Driven Convenience
BMTC has integrated QR code-based access to feeder bus schedules, live bus tracking, and real-time route information at metro bus stops and inside metro trains, aiming to enhance commuter convenience.
Electronics City Connectivity
To cater to Electronics City commuters, BMTC runs 3,000 trips on 100 routes with 619 schedules daily along Hosur Main Road. From the Wipro Gate, 14 routes operate 80 schedules, providing 700 daily trips to major city locations. Additionally, via Wipro Gate, 4 routes with 87 schedules make 592 trips daily.
Through the NICE Road corridor, 18 routes operate 60 schedules covering 292 trips, benefiting an average of 14,000 passengers daily.
New Yellow Line Feeder Routes
BMTC has now launched four new feeder routes for the Yellow Line Metro, deploying 12 buses and operating 96 trips daily to connect key stations — Hosur Road, Beretena Agrahara, Electronics City, Infosys Foundation Konappana Agrahara, Hebbagodi, and Bommasandra.

MF-22: Electronics City Wipro Gate – Kodathi Wipro via Electronics City, Konappana Agrahara, Hosur Road, Kasavanahalli, Kaikondrahalli, Doddakannalli. 4 buses, 32 trips daily.

MF-22A: Electronics City Wipro Gate – Kodathi Wipro via Konappana Agrahara, Huskur Gate, Chintala Madivala, Muttanalluru Cross, Thimmasandra Cross, Chandapura Cross. 4 buses, 24 trips daily.

MF-22B: Bommasandra (Chakra Route) via Thirupalya Cross, S-Mando-3, Electronics City Wipro Gate, Konappana Agrahara, Hebbagodi. 2 buses, 20 trips daily.

MF-22C: Konappana Agrahara (Chakra Route) via Electronics City Wipro Gate, S-Mando-3, Thirupalya Cross, Bommasandra, Hebbagodi. 2 buses, 20 trips daily.
According to BMTC, these routes have been strategically planned to ensure seamless connectivity between metro stations and key residential, commercial, and industrial hubs, reducing dependency on private vehicles.
