Bengaluru : Farmers from various districts in the state have expressed their discontent with what they perceive as the government's treatment toward them. The farmers, feeling aggrieved by the policies that have affected their livelihoods, have taken to the streets to voice their concerns.
The agitation reached its peak as farmers gathered at Freedom Park on Saturday to stage a protest against the government's actions. Their grievances range from financial losses incurred due to governmental decisions to the lack of support during times of crisis, such as drought relief.
Central to their protest is the demand for treatment and support prices for their produce. Many farmers lamented the government's indifference to their plight, citing the recent budget allocation as a glaring example of neglect.
A spokesperson for the protesting farmers warned,"If our demands are not heard, we will increase our protests and bring our complaints directly to the Vidhana Soudha.”
The tension between farmers and the government shows that there is increasing dissatisfaction within the agricultural community, emphasizing the pressing need for discussion and resolution.
