Cong candidate Puttanna triumphs in Council polls |
Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah asserted on Tuesday that the alliance between the BJP and JDS aimed at polarizing voters has been decisively rebuffed by the electorate.
He warmly applauded Congress candidate Puttanna's victory, highlighting it as a significant outcome considering his prior affiliation with the BJP. Siddaramaiah emphasized that the educated voters of Bengaluru Teachers Constituency have unequivocally rejected the BJP-JDS alliance, despite the parties fielding a common candidate.
He predicted a similar fate for the alliance in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, suggesting that the Gowda family's political strategies might undergo a significant shift.
