AAP State President Proclaims Solidarity Amidst Political Turmoil

Bengaluru: We are also prepared to accompany Arvind Kejriwal to jail in defense of democracy. His popularity nationwide has become intolerable to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for Kejriwal’s arrest through central investigative agencies, said Mukhyamantri Chandru, the state president of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), during a protest held at Freedom Park to mark Black Day on Friday.

Chandru accused the central government of misusing investigative agencies to silence dissent and suppress Kejriwal's growing popularity. He alleged that Kejriwal's arrest was a strategic move to prevent him from obtaining bail, citing intimidation tactics by agencies like the Directorate of Enforcement.

AAP National Joint Secretary Prithvi Reddy echoed Chandru's sentiments, asserting that Modi fears Kejriwal's popularity and has resorted to unlawful means to curb it. State Organizing Secretary Mohan Dasari criticized the BJP's corruption through election bonds, attributing Kejriwal's arrest to divert attention from their wrongdoing.

The AAP leaders challenged the government's actions, reaffirming their commitment to the cause despite threats of arrest.

AAP State General Secretary Sanchit Sahwani, State Media Coordinator Jagdish V. Saddam, State Secretaries Usha Mohan, Basavaraja Mudigawder, City President Satish Kumar, General Secretary Jagadish Chandra, Ashok Mrityunjaya and others were present.
