PM Modi Launches Projects, Commemorates Kaziranga's Success, and Counters Opposition Criticism During Assam Visit
Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing critique of the opposition while unveiling significant development projects in Assam’s Jorhat district on Saturday.
Earlier in the day, the PM embarked on elephant and jeep safaris in the Kaziranga National Park, expressing admiration for its beauty. Reflecting on the park's past, he remarked, “I am captivated by Kaziranga's beauty. The memories I've created here will endure. Unfortunately, this park lost its splendor under previous governments.”
Highlighting the turnaround, he noted, “Kaziranga, famed for its one-horned rhinos, witnessed rampant poaching in the past. However, our government's interventions resulted in zero rhino poaching in Assam by 2022, a collective achievement.”
In commemoration of Kaziranga's golden jubilee year, PM Modi urged people nationwide to visit this UNESCO world heritage site.
Addressing criticisms, the Prime Minister rebuffed the 'Modi Ka Parivar' jibe, asserting, “They claim Modi lacks a family, but 1.4 billion people now affirm, 'Main Hoon Modi Ka Parivar' (I am Modi's family).”
While inaugurating various projects in Jorhat, PM Modi juxtaposed BJP's development efforts in the northeast with previous administrations.
Earlier, PM Modi embarked on an elephant safari atop ‘Pradyumna’ and explored the Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve via jeep, also visiting Daflang Tower.
Raju Goala, 'Pradyumna's' mahout, accompanied the PM during the elephant safari at the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Additionally, the Prime Minister fed sugarcane to three elephants in the park, engaging in a memorable interaction.
