Residents Urged to Prioritize Health Amid Water Safety Concerns

Bidar: Residents of Aanadura village in Bidar district are grappling with concerns over water safety after a grim discovery. The body of Raju Shylesh (27), a local resident, was found in the village tank on March 27, three days after he ended his life by jumping into it amidst marital discord.

Prompted by the foul water flowing from their taps, villagers alerted the grama panchayat, prompting authorities to investigate the tank's condition. The retrieval operation, involving Fire and Emergency Services personnel, police, and locals, recovered Shylesh's body from the tank.

Survived by his wife and two children, Raju's tragic demise has left the community in shock. His mother, in her police complaint, revealed his despair over his wife's prolonged absence.

Concerns over water contamination have led the health department to establish a temporary medical camp in the village. District Health and Family Welfare Officer  Dhyaneshwar Neergudi has urged villagers to seek immediate medical attention for any health-related issues arising from potential waterborne contamination.
