Preparations Underway: Sector Officer Assesses Polling Booth Facilities Ahead of Lok Sabha Elections
Gadag: In preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Sector Officer Riaz K Khatiba conducted a thorough inspection of various polling booths in Rona Taluk.
On Wednesday, he visited polling booth numbers 42, 43, 09, 18, 20, 11, 12, and 34 in Muguli, Belgoda Honniganoor, Yarekurabanahala, and other villages to assess the basic facilities.
During his visit, Khatiba highlighted the importance of ensuring that Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are prepared to assist voters effectively. He instructed them to increase awareness among voters and ensure a smooth voting process.
Discussions were held regarding the essential facilities at the polling booths, including shade, drinking water, seating arrangements, toilets, and electricity. Additionally, voters were encouraged to download the Voter Helpline App for easy access to polling booth information.
The meeting was attended by Gram Panchayat Development Officers and all BLOs.
