Authorities Plan to Move Rowdy Elements to Different Jails

Bengaluru: Actor Darshan, now designated as undertrial prisoner number 6106, has been jailed in connection with the murder of Renukaswamy in Chitradurga. Darshan and his gang have been sent to judicial custody for 13 days. As per the court's order, all accused have been transferred to Parappana Agrahara in Bengaluru and assigned prisoner numbers.

This is Darshan's second time in jail. His presence has prompted jail authorities to plan the transfer of around 30 rowdy elements to different jails to prevent any contact with him, as some inmates are known to be close to him.

In a related move, the police have requested the court to transfer members of the D gang to separate jails. The court has adjourned the hearing to Monday. If approved, the gang will be divided and relocated to various facilities. So far, 17 individuals have been arrested. Authorities fear that keeping the accused together could lead to escape plans or internal conflicts, prompting the proposed separation.
