Ashwatthanarayan criticized the Congress government's policies
Bengaluru: Former
Deputy Chief Minister C. N. Ashwatthanarayan has strongly criticized the Karnataka
Congress government's policies, accusing them of burdening the people with
consistent price hikes since assuming power. Speaking at the BJP state office
Jagannath Bhawan in Malleswaram on Tuesday, he lambasted the government for
what he described as exploiting the public.
Ashwatthanarayan
highlighted that the Congress administration's approach has been marked by
unrelenting increases in prices, citing rises in essential commodities and
utilities such as milk, seeds, electricity, and water. He specifically pointed
out the lack of subsidies for dairy farmers, delayed payments under the Prime
Minister Kisan Samman Yojana, and insufficient support during drought periods.
The
Congress government's guarantee seems to be only about ensuring inflation and
price hikes,he remarked, underscoring what he termed as the government's
failure to alleviate the financial strain on farmers and vulnerable sections of
society.
Expressing
concern over the impact on the common people, He criticized the administration
for compounding the hardships faced by those already in difficulty. He
condemned the alleged corruption within various government departments,
including the Valmiki Corporation, labeling the government as
"anti-people" and accusing it of fostering a climate of zero development.
He called
upon the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) to address governmental corruption and
urged for an administration that prioritizes honesty and public welfare. The
BJP, he asserted, vehemently opposes the ongoing price hikes and stands in
solidarity with the people against what he described as unjust policies.
