Health declines on fourth day of fast over Haryana's water refusal

New Delhi: Delhi minister Atishi was hospitalized early Tuesday after her health deteriorated from a hunger strike protesting Haryana's refusal to release Delhi's share of water. On the fourth day of her fast, doctors advised hospitalization due to a significant decline in her condition.

Atishi has been fasting to highlight the water shortage in Delhi, which has experienced a shortfall of 100 million gallons of water per day for the past three weeks. Despite her health issues, including dropping blood pressure, sugar levels, and high ketone levels, she vowed to continue her fast until Haryana releases the needed water.

Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena met with AAP leaders on Sunday, and following the meeting, stated that Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini assured him of investigating the possibility of supplying additional water to Delhi.
