Incident Occurred During Fare Payment; FIR Filed

Mumbai: An auto-rickshaw driver has been charged with harassing a 39-year-old woman who was traveling in his vehicle, police reported on Sunday.

The incident took place on June 13 when the woman boarded the auto-rickshaw at Kalyan railway station to travel to her residence in Waldhuni. As she was paying the fare, the driver allegedly grabbed her hand, abused, and threatened her, according to an official from the MFC police station.

The woman filed a complaint, leading to the registration of an FIR against the driver on Friday under relevant provisions of the law.
