Karnataka Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy Inaugurates ₹500-Seat Mantapa at Tirumala; Major Boost for Pilgrims from Karnataka
Bengaluru: In a welcome development for lakhs of devotees travelling from Karnataka to Tirumala, Karnataka Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy on Monday inaugurated the newly constructed “Sri Krishnarajendra Wodeyar Block” Kalyana Mantapa at the Karnataka Choultry (Mysore Complex).
The state-of-the-art Kalyana Mantapa, with a seating capacity of 500 and 13 rooms, is now ready for use by Karnataka devotees visiting Tirupati for hosting weddings, naming ceremonies, and other sacred family functions.
“This is a gift from the Government of Karnataka to our devotees visiting Tirumala,” said Minister Ramalinga Reddy.

VIP Block, Kalyani, and Temple Set for September Inauguration
Minister Reddy further announced that the VIP Block, featuring 36 fully furnished rooms, a Kalyani (sacred pond), and a temple, all part of the Karnataka Choultry premises, are nearing completion and will be inaugurated in September.

“The VIP Block is in the final stages of work. This will be a proud moment for Karnataka devotees who have long awaited these facilities,” the minister added.
Online Booking for Devotees Soon
In an added convenience for pilgrims, online booking facilities will be made available, allowing easy access to the Kalyana Mantapa and accommodation services at the Karnataka Choultry.

The establishment of this well-equipped Mantapa and the soon-to-be-unveiled VIP facilities mark a significant milestone in Karnataka’s service commitment to its pilgrims. The project is also seen as a symbol of strengthening cultural and spiritual ties between Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
