Darshan, already embroiled in murder charges, is now under the Income Tax Department's radar

Bengaluru: During the investigation, authorities found Rs 37 lakh in cash at Darshan's residence and discovered he paid Rs 30 lakh in cash to surrender after the murder. According to the law, an individual can legally hold up to Rs 2 lakh in cash, but Darshan was found with approximately Rs 70 lakh.

The Kamakshipalya police will inform the Income Tax authorities, prompting an investigation into whether Darshan declared and paid taxes on this money. Failure to comply with tax regulations could lead to further complications for the actor.

Additionally, the police received information that a person named Mohan Raj, a friend of Darshan, had given him Rs 40 lakh. Authorities are preparing to issue a notice to Mohan Raj for interrogation regarding this transaction.
