Starting May 21, BMTC launches 32 trips on the newly introduced NICE-2 route to ease travel from Banashankari TTMC to Electronic City, Comfort, Affordability and Connectivity Now On Wheels
Bengaluru: In a major step to boost public transport on the bustling NICE Road corridor, the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) is all set to launch a new Non-AC bus service — Route NICE-2 — starting from May 21, 2025. This route aims to connect Banashankari TTMC and Electronic City, catering to thousands of daily commuters travelling via Konanakunte Cross, Thalaghattapura, and NICE Road.
BMTC’s promise: “Efficient, reliable, comfortable and affordable transport facilities for all commuters.”
With 4 buses and a total of 32 daily trips, this route comes as a significant relief to office-goers, students, and industrial workers who currently face difficulty due to limited public transport options on the NICE stretch. The addition of this route is expected to reduce travel time, provide safe options for early morning and evening travel, and reduce dependency on private vehicles or ride-hailing apps.
Departure Timings

A BMTC official said:
“This route is designed keeping in mind the high passenger density along the NICE corridor. With this launch, we expect not just better mobility but also reduced traffic congestion in South Bengaluru.”
The introduction of NICE-2 is being hailed as a game-changer for Bengaluru’s southern belt, and BMTC is likely to explore more such corridor-specific connectivity solutions in the near future. With the tech hub of Electronic City now more accessible than ever, this is a welcome move for IT professionals and local residents alike.
