Subramanyapura Police Arrest Woman for Murdering Her Child

Bengaluru: The Subramanyapura police have arrested Ramya (35) for allegedly strangling her baby, Preetika, to death. Ramya, a homemaker from Manjunathnagar in Subramanyapura, was charged with the murder of her mentally unstable child.

Her husband, a software engineer, works in Norway. The couple, married for 11 years, have twin daughters, aged 3 years and 10 months. While one child was healthy and attending school, Preetika was not due to ill health.

Ramya reportedly tied the child and brought her to the hospital. Based on the information provided by the hospital's doctors, the police arrested Ramya and handed her over to the women's relief centre. The police have informed her husband and are investigating the matter further.
