Ramalinga Reddy Distributing Appointment Letters at BMTC Ceremony
Bengaluru: In a poignant display of support for families of deceased employees, the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) organized a ceremony on Monday to distribute appointment order letters on compassionate grounds. The event, graced by Ramalinga Reddy, Minister of Transport, resonated with heartfelt moments as candidates and their families received the letters.
Over recent months, BMTC has appointed approximately 250 dependents of deceased employees to fill Class-3 (Non-Supervisory) and Class-4 vacancies, prioritizing based on seniority and availability of positions. While roles like drivers and conductors remain vacant, there is notable interest among dependents for positions such as Junior Assistant and Data Entry Operators. Currently, BMTC continues recruitment efforts for 48 posts including K.S.T Constable, Technical Assistant, and Office Attender on compassionate grounds.
The ceremony was attended by prominent officials, including Ramalinga Reddy, whose leadership underscored BMTC's commitment to employee welfare. Also present were Mr. Ramachandran R., I.A.S, Managing Director of BMTC, and Mrs. Shilpa M., I.A.S, Director of Information Technology, alongside other department heads and senior officials.
Under Ramalinga Reddy's guidance, BMTC has instituted various welfare initiatives such as ongoing recruitment drives, enhanced group insurance benefits, financial security measures, and health check-up programs. These efforts reflect a proactive approach to support and uplift the corporation's workforce and their families.
