Stakeholder Consultation Drives Electric Bus Operational Excellence

Bengaluru: A stakeholder consultation focused on operational key practices in electric buses was convened at Taj MG Road, on Thursday. The event provided a pivotal platform to exchange insights and best practices aimed at advancing the adoption and efficient operation of electric buses.

Ramachandran R. B. A. Se, Managing Director of Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC), took the stage as the keynote speaker, delivering comprehensive insights into electric bus operations. His address covered essential topics including operational planning, data-driven optimization, bus design considerations, electrification challenges, and future prospects within BMTC.

Organized by Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL) in partnership with the United States Agency for International Development's South Asia Regional Energy Partnership (USAID's SAREP) program, the consultation attracted a diverse group of stakeholders. Among them were original equipment manufacturers, bus operators, battery companies, and charging point operators, all committed to ensuring the seamless integration and efficient operation of electric buses nationwide.

The event marked a significant milestone in BMTC's efforts towards sustainable public transport in India. It underscored the collaborative spirit essential to addressing challenges and maximizing opportunities in the rapidly evolving electric mobility sector.

BMTC's Chief Traffic Manager GT Prabhakar Reddy & Chief Mechanical Engineer AN Gajendra Kumar were also present in this occassion.
