Evidence Points to Involvement of Actors in Shocking Murder Case
Bengaluru: In a significant breakthrough in the Renuka Swamy murder case, Karnataka police have uncovered crucial evidence linking actors Darshan and Pavithra Gowda to the crime scene. According to police officials, fingerprints of both Darshan and Pavithra have been found on various objects associated with the murder.
The evidence was meticulously collected from multiple locations related to the crime, including the shed where the murder occurred, the security guard's room where the body was initially kept, the vehicle used for transportation, the site where the body was dumped, as well as on the victim's clothing and the weapons used in the attack. Forensic analysis also confirmed their fingerprints on clothing worn by the accused during the incident, further bolstering the prosecution's case.
In addition to the forensic findings, investigations revealed that both Darshan and Pavithra were using SIM cards registered under false identities. Darshan's SIM card was registered under the name CP Hemanth, while Pavithra's was under the name of Manoj. This discovery suggests attempts to conceal their identities and evade detection.
The murder of Renuka Swamy, whose body was discovered in Bengaluru on June 8, 2024, has shocked the community. Allegations have surfaced that Renuka had been sending inappropriate messages to Pavithra Gowda, a Kannada actress and friend of Darshan. This alleged harassment is believed to have been the motive behind the murder, which culminated in Renuka's body being dumped in a canal at Kamakshipalya, Bengaluru.
Darshan was arrested on June 11 after eight of the accused implicated him, placing him at the scene during the assault on Renuka Swamy.
Recent developments include a letter from Darshan's spouse, Vijayalakshmi, to the Bengaluru Police Commissioner clarifying Pavithra Gowda's relationship with her husband. She affirmed that while Pavithra is a friend of Darshan, she is not his wife, emphasizing her own status as Darshan's legally wedded wife since their marriage at Dharmasthala in 2003.
The case continues to attract significant media attention due to the involvement of prominent actors and the heinous nature of the crime. The upcoming trial is expected to hinge on the forensic evidence, particularly the fingerprints and SIM card analysis, as well as testimonies from the accused.
