New Delhi: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh expressed deep sorrow over the killing of five Indian Army personnel in a terrorist ambush in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir. The incident occurred in the Badnota area where heavily armed terrorists attacked a patrolling party, resulting in the death of five soldiers and injuries to an equal number.
Singh emphasized the ongoing efforts to restore peace in the region through active counter-terror operations. "I am deeply anguished at the loss of five of our brave Indian Army soldiers in a terrorist attack in Badnota, Kathua (J&K)," he remarked.
Offering condolences to the families of the deceased, Singh affirmed the nation's solidarity with them during this trying period. "My deepest condolences to the bereaved families, the nation stands firm with them in this difficult time," he stated.
In addition, the Defence Minister expressed hope for the swift recovery of the injured personnel. "I pray for a speedy recovery to those who sustained injuries in this dastardly terror attack," he added.
The attack has prompted heightened security measures in the area as the armed forces remain committed to restoring calm and ensuring the safety of civilians and military personnel alike.
