Rival Gangs Clash in Kodiyal Bail Jail; Incident Captured on CCTV

Mangaluru: Two undertrials were injured in a clash between rival groups inside the District Jail at Kodiyal Bail in Mangaluru. The injured, Muhammed Sameer (33) from Ullal and Muhammed Mansoor (30) from Boliyar, were attacked by fellow inmates.

The attackers were identified as Mufhad Rifat (28), Mohammad Rizwan (34), Ibrahim Kallel (30), Umar Farooq Irfan, Altaf, Naufal, Zainuddin, and others. The scuffle occurred between 6:30 pm and 6:45 pm on Monday in barrack A. Both injured men have been in judicial custody for the past 20 days and were attacked with sharp objects in the kitchen, sustaining injuries to their heads, shoulders, and other body parts.

Both victims are receiving treatment at Wenlock Hospital and are reported to be out of danger. All involved individuals have criminal records. The entire incident was captured on CCTV. A case has been registered at Barke police station based on the jail authorities' complaint.
