A National and International Sourcing Hub for Uniforms
Bengaluru: The Solapur Garment Manufacturers Association is set to host the 8th Uniform Garment Fair in Bengaluru from December 18 to 20, 2024, at Shringar Palace Garden, Palace Grounds, Gate No. 8. The event will be inaugurated in the presence of Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan and Solapur MLA Subhash Deshmukh, as announced by Fair Chairman Sunil Gangji.
After successfully organizing seven fairs, this initiative aims to establish Solapur as a prominent uniform sourcing hub, not only in India but globally. The event will feature 1,200 brands and 10,000 uniform designs, showcasing a wide range of uniforms for schools, colleges, hospitals, railways, and corporate sectors. The fair intends to connect national and international traders while highlighting Solapur's expertise in uniform manufacturing.
Solapur district is known for its experienced entrepreneurs operating state-of-the-art uniform garment factories equipped with advanced machinery and skilled workers. Sunil Gangji stated that Solapur’s reputation for producing uniforms with efficient designs, reliable quality, and cost-effective pricing has garnered attention worldwide. The association views this fair as an opportunity to further convey its message globally.
The three-day exhibition will attract participation from educational institutions, entrepreneurs, and corporate organizations from Bangalore and surrounding areas. The association has extended an invitation to all stakeholders to explore and benefit from this platform. Through this initiative, Solapur aims to reinforce its standing as a specialized center for uniform manufacturing.
Entrepreneurs from countries such as Kenya, Jordan, Sri Lanka, and Thailand have previously attended the association’s exhibitions. This underscores the fair’s relevance as a significant event in the uniform industry, connecting international buyers with Solapur’s capabilities. The association also highlighted the importance of such fairs for the growth of the uniform sector and appealed to businesses to take advantage of this event.
With uniforms produced using quality fabrics and modern techniques at affordable prices, the Solapur Garment Manufacturers Association hopes to enhance its reach in both national and international markets.
