Bengaluru: As Valentine’s Day approaches, the demand for roses has surged, leading to a sharp increase in prices across the city. Consumers, especially young couples, are struggling with the rising costs, making traditional flower gifting an expensive affair.
In addition to lovers, devotees offering flowers to deities are also affected by the price hike. The reduced supply of roses due to winter conditions has further aggravated the situation. A bunch of 20 roses is currently priced at Rs 100, making it costly for many buyers.
Red, yellow, and white roses are in high demand, and the inflated prices are impacting consumers' budgets. The increased costs, driven by supply constraints and seasonal demand, continue to weigh on the common man’s pocket.
