Bodies Found Inside Locked Car; Suicide Note Recovered, Police Launch Forensic Probe
Panchkula (Haryana): In an alarming incident, seven members of a family from Dehradun were found dead inside a locked car parked outside a house in Panchkula on Sunday. The family, identified as that of Praveen Mittal (42), is believed to have died by suicide, allegedly due to severe financial distress and debt burden.
According to police sources, Praveen Mittal and his family had visited Bageshwar Dham in Panchkula for a spiritual program and had returned from the event when the tragedy occurred.
Tragic Discovery
Local residents noticed signs of distress inside the parked vehicle and immediately alerted the police. Upon arrival, authorities broke open the vehicle door and found all seven family members unconscious. They were rushed to nearby private and civil hospitals, but were declared dead on arrival.

“A forensic team has been deployed to gather scientific evidence from the spot,”
said senior police officer Himadri Kaushik, who is leading the investigation.
The bodies have been moved to a private hospital in Panchkula for postmortem, which will further assist in the investigation.
