Bengaluru: In an utterly bizarre and spine-chilling case, a woman police constable has accused a fake astrologer from Kalaburagi of duping her of ₹5 lakh, playing on her fears using superstition, soul stories, and elaborate fake rituals in lodges.
The complaint, filed at Adugodi Police Station, reveals a shocking tale of how Hemant Bhat, a so-called astrologer, convinced the officer that “deadly flaws” in her horoscope were the cause of her illness and that only an expensive ritual could save her from disaster.
