Infiltration Bid Foiled in Samba Sector; Indian Army Retaliates With Drone Strikes and Missiles Across Jammu, Pathankot, and Udhampur

New Delhi: Tensions between India and Pakistan have escalated dramatically following India's precision offensive Operation Sindoor, launched in retaliation to the recent Pahalgam terror attack. In a significant development, the Border Security Force (BSF) foiled a major infiltration attempt late Wednesday night and killed seven Pakistani-origin terrorists attempting to breach the international border in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba sector.

According to high-level security sources, the attempted infiltration occurred around 11 PM on May 8, with the terrorists receiving direct support from Pakistan Army Rangers stationed at the Dhandhar post near the border. Acting swiftly on intelligence inputs, BSF personnel engaged in a fierce gun battle, resulting in the neutralization of all seven infiltrators.

The exchange escalated when Pakistan Rangers opened retaliatory fire, prompting Indian forces to target the Dhandhar post directly. The Rangers assisting the infiltration reportedly fled under heavy fire from Indian troops.

Indian forces have now launched an extensive search and sanitization operation in the border areas. The incident further exposes the direct involvement of Pakistan’s military forces in facilitating terror infiltrations into Indian territory.

In a related development, late Thursday night, Indian forces used drones and missile strikes to thwart a Pakistani Army-led attempt to target military installations across Jammu, Pathankot, Udhampur, and adjoining sectors. India retaliated by blacking out these sectors, preventing further hostile surveillance and attacks.

The developments come amid growing national outrage and heightened security preparedness following the Pahalgam attack, with India making it unequivocally clear that any cross-border provocation will be met with decisive and overwhelming response.
