Sheikh Tashauddin Farooqui Booked by Police for Allegedly Promoting Anti-National Content on Social Media
Vijayapura: A dental student from Al Ameen Medical College in Vijayapura has sparked controversy and outrage after allegedly posting pro-Pakistan content on her social media account. Sheikh Tashauddin Farooqui, a student at the college, is now facing legal action for allegedly sharing posts in support of Pakistan, which have been deemed anti-national in the current climate of heightened tensions between India and Pakistan.
The incident came to light when a Facebook account named Veeru Kichchu shared a post titled 'Pak Premi' (Pro-Pakistan) along with screenshots of the Instagram story allegedly posted by Farooqui. The posts were discovered at around 6 PM on Thursday when PSI Vinod Dodamani of the rural police station was browsing Facebook on his mobile phone.
Upon noticing the controversial content, PSI Dodamani conducted a thorough investigation and filed a formal complaint after verifying the anti-national nature of the posts. Farooqui, whose Instagram account '@hoodyyyyyyy' was reportedly linked to the offensive post, has now been booked by the police.
The incident has sparked further tension, especially in light of the ongoing military operations between India and Pakistan. Just recently, the Indian Army launched 'Operation Sindoor,' an assault on militant training camps in Pakistan, further heightening the already strained relations between the two nations.
