Rising Tensions on the Border as Pakistani Drones and Missiles Target Civilians; Army Shoots Down Threats While Fear Grips the Valley
Bengaluru: The fragile ceasefire between India and Pakistan lies in tatters once again as Pakistan has reportedly violated the truce, launching drones and missiles into civilian areas of Jammu and Kashmir, triggering panic and unrest among the local population.
According to official sources, the Indian Army acted swiftly, neutralising Pakistani drones and missiles mid-air in a high-stakes military response that averted larger catastrophe.
“The Indian Army is fully alert and retaliating with unmatched precision. We will not tolerate any breach of sovereignty,” a senior defence spokesperson stated.
Amidst these rising tensions, fear has gripped the border villages. Residents of Jammu and Kashmir are living under constant anxiety, uncertain when or where the next attack might strike.
In a heart-wrenching development, a soldier’s wife from Belgaum, who was residing in Jammu with her husband, has returned to Karnataka after the recent spate of attacks. She shared her emotional testimony with media, painting a grim picture of the ground reality.
“Missiles were flying over our heads... The sound of drones haunted us day and night. I had no choice but to return home for my safety,” she told in a trembling voice.
Her account reveals the trauma and fear families of soldiers endure, not only from the enemy at the border but from the uncertainty that stalks every moment.
While security forces continue to maintain control over the situation, the violations raise serious concerns about Pakistan's intent and its repeated disregard for peace. The incident has once again reignited the debate on how long India should exercise restraint in the face of provocation.
"This isn’t just a ceasefire violation—this is a deliberate attempt to destabilize peace and target our citizens," a former army commander said during a panel discussion.
As the Indian Army continues to guard the borders with full preparedness, calls for stronger retaliation are growing louder across the nation.
