Alarming Threat to National Security, Jharkhand BJP Leader’s Complaint Triggers Swift Police Action Amid Rising Indo-Pak Tensions
Ranchi: In a spine-chilling development that has sent shockwaves across Jharkhand, a youth from Ranchi has been arrested for openly glorifying terrorism on social media—posting ‘Ghazwa-e-Hind’ slogans and flags linked to global terror outfits such as ISIS, Taliban, and Al-Qaeda.
The incident has emerged at a time when India-Pakistan relations remain on edge, and the youth’s provocative content has raised serious national security alarms.
“This is not just a post. This is an attack on the soul of India and a direct insult to the Indian Army,” said a local BJP leader, whose complaint led to the arrest.
The youth’s Instagram profile showcased symbols associated with international jihadist movements. Among these were visuals of flags connected to ISIS and Taliban, along with the incendiary slogan ‘Ghazwa-e-Hind’, which calls for a religious war against India—a slogan frequently used by extremist groups promoting anti-India narratives.

“This is not just one boy gone astray. This is about the ideology being injected into innocent minds by radical Maulanas and Madrasas,”
said the BJP leader in a fiery social media post.“If these elements are not uprooted today, they can unleash a major terror plot tomorrow. This is open treason and must be dealt with ruthlessly,” he added.
Following the complaint, Ranchi Police acted swiftly, booking the accused under serious sections of IPC and UAPA. He has been taken into custody and is currently being intensively interrogated to determine possible links with larger terrorist networks.
Authorities are now investigating whether the accused is a lone radicalized individual or part of a sleeper cell operating in the region. The content of his phone, chat history, foreign links, and digital footprint is being examined by cybercrime and anti-terror agencies.

The act of glorifying global terrorist organizations on a public platform like Instagram has not only shaken the local community, but has also reignited the debate on digital radicalization and the urgent need to monitor online extremism.
“We need to ask tough questions. Who radicalized him? Who funds these networks? What are the Maulanas teaching behind closed doors?”
said a former Intelligence Bureau officer, urging strict surveillance and de-radicalization initiatives.

Several political leaders have demanded an NIA-level probe, stating that such radical symbols and slogans pose a grave danger not only to national integrity but to the psychological safety of Indian youth.
