"Crash occurred between Gaurikund and Trijuginarayan — cause suspected to be bad weather"

Kedarnath: In yet another aviation tragedy shaking the nation, a helicopter carrying 7 people crashed near Kedarnath in Uttarakhand today, triggering fresh concerns over air safety in pilgrimage zones. The chopper, reportedly operated by Aryan Aviation Company, was en route in a high-altitude, weather-sensitive route between Gaurikund and Trijuginarayan when it plunged due to poor weather conditions.

“A helicopter belonging to Aryan Aviation has crashed between Gaurikund and Trijuginarayan. Preliminary reports suggest bad weather as the cause. Search and rescue operations are underway,” a senior official told News Flash on condition of anonymity.

With limited visibility and rough terrain posing major obstacles, rescue and disaster response teams have been deployed urgently. The condition of the 7 onboard, which may include pilgrims and crew, remains unknown at this stage. More details are expected as authorities reach the crash site.

"We are trying to reach the crash location despite adverse weather. Full information will be shared shortly," confirmed a spokesperson from the Uttarakhand Disaster Response Force (UDRF).

Pilgrimage Turned Tragedy
