Maintenance Work by KPTCL to Affect Power Supply from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM in Major Residential and IT Zones

Bengaluru: The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has officially announced a planned power outage on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, affecting multiple prominent IT blocks, residential layouts, and apartments in and around the Manyata Tech Park area.

The power interruption is due to periodic maintenance activities being undertaken by KPTCL at the 66/11kV Manyatha Tech Park MUSS (Main Receiving Substation).

"This scheduled outage is necessary for routine maintenance work on the incoming and outgoing lines, transformer bays, 66kV and 11kV buses, breakers, power transformer Tan Delta test, and 66kV PT maintenance,"
BESCOM stated in its press release.

Areas Affected on 18.06.2025 (Wednesday | 11:00Hrs – 16:00Hrs):

• Manyata Tech Park Blocks: Fidelity, Philips, Incubator, IBM D1, D2, D3 & D4, F2 Block, L6 Siemens, L5 Nokia Block, G1 Block, MFAR

• Residential & Layouts: Manyatha Residency, B.T.S Loucent, ANZ H Block, C4 Block, Godrej Apartment, Hebbal Kempapura, Vinayaka Layout, Chirranjeevi Layout, Venkategowda Layout, JNC, Madhuvana M2 Block

• Others: Rachenahalli, Srirampura, Chamundeshwari Layout, Rayal Enclave, Mestri Palya, Thanisandra, SNN Clermont Apartment, Karle, B. Narayanapura Cross, BDS Layout, Mantri Lithos, Coffee Board Layout, Fathima Layout, Amarjothi Layout, Mariyanna Palya, Umiya Velocity, Brigade Canadium and surrounding areas.

Important Note for Residents and Businesses:

Citizens in these areas are advised to make alternate arrangements for power backup and avoid using high-energy equipment during the mentioned hours. IT companies and apartment managements are especially requested to notify residents and staff in advance.

“This planned outage is a part of BESCOM and KPTCL’s commitment to improving infrastructure reliability and power supply stability,”
said a senior BESCOM official.

Reason for Outage:

• Routine line clearance and maintenance by KPTCL.

• Tan Delta testing of power transformers.

• Breaker and 66kV/11kV bus maintenance.

• Periodic maintenance of 66/11kV Manyatha Tech Park MUSS.
