Rowdy-sheeter Biklu Shivu's Murder Triggers Multi-Layered Police Hunt for Primary and Indirect Accused

Bengaluru: The investigation into the gruesome murder of notorious rowdy-sheeter Biklu Shivu has taken a complex turn, as police intensify efforts not only to nab the prime accused but also those who allegedly helped them destroy evidence and evade capture.

Weapons Thrown Into Lake, Police Begin Recovery Ops
According to officials, the longu machetes used in the murder were thrown into a lake near Hoskote shortly after the crime. Police teams have now launched search and recovery operations to retrieve the weapons, which could be crucial evidence in the ongoing probe.

Clothes Set on Fire Near Ramamurthynagar
In a bid to eliminate forensic evidence, the accused allegedly burnt their blood-stained clothes near Ramamurthynagar. The attempt was reportedly made to wipe out traces of involvement, right after the killing.

“We have reason to believe the accused took systematic steps to destroy all physical evidence—from disposing weapons to burning clothes. These are clear indicators of premeditated moves to evade justice,” said a senior police officer involved in the investigation.

Friend Helped Accused With Fresh Clothes, Now Missing
Post-crime, the key accused reportedly called a friend named Kaushik, who helped him get a fresh set of clothes. Another person named Anil, who owned the car allegedly used during or after the murder, is also said to have played a supportive role.

Both Kaushik and Anil are currently absconding, prompting the police to widen their net. Adding to the challenge, the shopkeeper who provided the replacement clothes has shuttered the shop and also fled.

Police Expand Search for Indirect Accomplices
With mounting evidence suggesting active help from acquaintances, Bengaluru police have officially extended their search to those who aided the accused after the murder, either by providing logistical support or helping destroy evidence.

“Anyone who helped in any form, before or after the crime, will be treated as an accomplice and dealt with under the same legal provisions as the primary accused,” confirmed an officer from the investigation team.

The murder of Biklu Shivu has sparked renewed concerns over gang activity and the networks that enable such criminal elements to operate with impunity. Authorities are now working on compiling digital and physical trails to nab all involved.
