Bengaluru: A woman from Manipur and her friend were allegedly assaulted by a group of four men in Bengaluru. The incident happened late on February 18 near the Regional Passport Seva Kendra, according to the police.
The 25-year-old woman and her friend went out around 1 am to throw away garbage when they were approached by the attackers. The men reportedly made advances towards the woman, touching her inappropriately and harassing her verbally. When she resisted, the situation turned violent, with the attackers using force. One of them even used a wooden stick found nearby to assault the woman. The friend who tried to help also suffered assault before the attackers fled.
The Adugodi police took action after the victim filed a complaint, leading to the arrest of the accused after investigation.
