Examination Pressure Leads to Fatal Decision: 19-year-old BSc Student Jumps from College Building
Bengaluru: Due to examination pressure, a 19-year-old Bachelor of Science (BSc) student from Manipal University committed suicide on February 17 by jumping from the top of a six-story building on the college campus. Reportedly, he took this extreme step after facing disciplinary action for cheating during an exam. The incident came to light today through social media.
The deceased has been identified as Satyam Suman, a native of Bihar, who was pursuing his second year in BSc.
The case has been registered under Manipal police station. According to them, the incident occurred during examination hours. He was rushed to the hospital, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries. His parents arrived from Bihar on Monday.
The investigation is still underway, as the police have questioned university authorities and his friends to determine the exact reason behind the tragedy.
