BJP and JDS Leaders Express Confidence in Alliance's Political Impact
Bengaluru: BJP State President B.Y.Vijayendra expressed optimism about the alliance between BJP and JDS, foreseeing a monumental impact on the state's political landscape. Speaking at a coordination meeting held at Radisson Blu Hotel, Vijayendra emphasized the potential historical significance of the collaboration, drawing parallels to past political alliances in the state.
Reflecting on the historical context, Vijayendra recalled a previous compromise between BJP and JDS in 2006. However, he noted that the alignment at that time lacked ideological cohesion, unlike the current alliance. Notably, the presence and blessings of former Prime Minister Deve Gowda added weight to the alliance's credibility.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi's endorsement of the alliance further solidified its stature, with Vijayendra highlighting Modi's contributions to national development and security, which, in turn, bolstered the alliance's strength.
Acknowledging the months-long collaboration between BJP and JDS, Vijayendra underscored the united front displayed during joint visits to various constituencies. This concerted effort, he asserted, sent a clear message to party workers and voters across the state, signaling a departure from past political discord.
Vijayendra commended the enthusiasm observed among party activists at the grassroots level, emphasizing the shared responsibility of leaders and workers in ensuring the success of BJP-JDS candidates. He emphasized the need for collaborative efforts and confidence among party members to secure victory in the upcoming elections.
Former Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy reflected on past coalition experiences, attributing the previous government's short tenure to unforeseen circumstances. He posed a rhetorical question about the potential longevity of their government if a coalition had been formed in 2018, hinting at missed opportunities in the state's political trajectory.
Addressing concerns among party activists, leaders, including former Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa and former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda, deliberated on the importance of unity and trust within the alliance. The meeting, attended by prominent leaders from both parties, aimed to reinforce the alliance's commitment to collaborative governance and collective progress.
