Allegations of Unfair Seizures and Harassment Emerge Amid Investigation into Seized Vehicles in Bengaluru
Bengaluru: Following
developments in the Renukaswamy murder case, authorities in Bengaluru are
intensifying efforts to uncover details surrounding a shed in Pattanagere,
where thousands of seized vehicles are stored across five acres of land. The
vehicles, ranging from bikes to buses, were seized due to non-repayment of bank
loans.
Amidst
these efforts, serious allegations have surfaced regarding the seizure process.
There are claims that innocent vehicle owners were unfairly targeted and
vehicles seized under dubious circumstances to profit unlawfully. Allegations
suggest that some individuals were harassed to pay inflated amounts exceeding their
original loan obligations.
Currently,
authorities, aided by the RTO, are actively reaching out to vehicle owners to
ascertain the veracity of these allegations and to ensure transparency in the
investigation process.
