CCB Conducts Raids Across Six Police Station Limits
Bengaluru: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) has arrested 10 foreign nationals in connection with illegal residence and drug-related cases at six police stations across the city over the past few days.
Of those arrested, seven were detained for illegal stay, while three were booked under the NDPS Act.
In Chikkajala police station limits, three foreigners, including a woman, were arrested for illegal stay and produced before the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) for further action. Two foreigners were arrested in Amruthahalli, and two more, including a woman, were detained in Vidyaranyapura police station limits. One individual has been deported as per FRRO directions.
In a drug case under Hennur police station limits, CCB officials arrested a foreign national and seized narcotics, including 55 grams of MDMA crystals worth approximately ₹8 lakh. Two more foreigners wanted in NDPS cases were arrested under Govindapura and Puttenahalli police jurisdictions. Investigations are ongoing.
