Diploma Holders Get One Last Chance for Direct Engineering Admission—Apply Before 11 AM, Pay Fee by 6 PM

Bengaluru, May 11 (News Flash): In a crucial update for diploma holders aspiring for lateral entry into engineering courses, the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has officially extended the last date to apply for the Diploma Common Entrance Test (DCET-25) till May 13.

KEA Executive Director H. Sudhakar Prasanna issued a statement confirming that applicants must submit their forms before 11 AM on May 13, and the fee payment must be completed by 6 PM the same day.

“The DCET offers diploma holders a direct route into the 3rd semester or second year of engineering programs. This extension is intended to help those who may have missed the earlier deadline,”
said Prasanna.

The decision comes amid high demand and repeated requests from candidates who faced difficulties in meeting the earlier deadline.

What is DCET-25?

The DCET is a state-level entrance exam conducted by KEA to facilitate lateral entry admissions for diploma holders into B.E. and B.Tech programs across Karnataka. Successful candidates gain direct admission into the second year or third semester of undergraduate engineering courses in government and private colleges. The KEA has urged all eligible candidates to make use of this final window and ensure timely submission and fee payment to avoid last-minute complications.
