Another Road Rage-Like Incident Sparks Concern in Silicon City; FIR Registered as Businessman Alleges Eye Injury in Physical Altercation

Bengaluru: In yet another incident of urban aggression, a delivery dispute turned violent in Basaveshwaranagar on May 21, with a video of the incident going viral across social media. The altercation involved a delivery agent from Zepto and a local businessman, and has raised renewed concerns about road rage and doorstep disputes in the city.

According to police sources, the clash began when delivery executive Vishnuvardhan reportedly questioned Shashank’s grandmother over a possible wrong address during a delivery attempt. Shashank's wife had placed the order on the Zepto app, and his grandmother stepped out to collect the items when the delivery boy confronted her.

Shashank, noticing the argument, intervened — but the situation escalated rapidly into a physical brawl. The entire incident was caught on CCTV installed at the residence. The footage shows both men engaging in a heated scuffle, resulting in injuries.

"I sustained an injury to my eye because of his attack," Shashank said in his formal complaint to the Basaveshwaranagar Police, where an FIR has now been registered. Authorities have confirmed they are reviewing the CCTV footage and statements from both sides.

This latest episode adds to the growing list of road rage and doorstep violence cases in Bengaluru, with citizens calling for stricter regulations and better training for delivery personnel to avoid such confrontations in the future.
