Opposition backs Operation Sindoor, calls for united front against cross-border terror
New Delhi: Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge, strongly endorsed India’s counter-terror offensive, stating that the country has an "unflinching national policy against all forms of terrorism emanating from Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK)."
“We are extremely proud of our Indian Armed Forces who have struck terror camps with resolve and courage. The Congress Party stands firmly with them,” Kharge said in a statement following Operation Sindoor, a tri-service strike that destroyed nine terror camps in Pakistan and PoK.
Kharge added that since the Pahalgam terror attack, which killed 26 civilians, the Indian National Congress has unequivocally supported any decisive action by the government against cross-border terrorism.
“National unity and solidarity is the need of the hour. Our leaders have shown the path in the past — for us, national interest is supreme,” he declared.
