University College of Arts Boys Bag Bronze Amid Fierce Competition at State Men’s Volleyball Tournament
Tumakuru: In a proud and electrifying triumph for the region, students from the University College of Arts, Tumkur University, have emerged as state-level sports stars, clinching third place at the State-Level Inter-College Men’s Volleyball Tournament held in Hassan on May 24 and 25.
Hosted by the Government Arts, Commerce and Post Graduate Autonomous College, Hassan, the high-stakes tournament was organised under the aegis of the Department of Physical Education and Sports, drawing fierce competitors from top colleges across Karnataka.
Despite the heat of competition and nail-biting matches, the 12-member Tumkur University team displayed unwavering determination, agility, and exceptional teamwork, ultimately securing a well-deserved third-place finish, a feat that has reverberated across their academic community.

The team’s stellar performance was nurtured and mentored by Sudeep Kumar R., Director of Physical Education, and Ganesh H.V., Assistant Director of Physical Education, who accompanied the students to Hassan, offering round-the-clock guidance and moral support during the adrenaline-packed tournament.
