BESCOM to Cut Power in Several Bengaluru Areas on June 5

Scheduled outage due to emergency line work; residents advised to prepare

Bengaluru: The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has announced a planned power supply disruption in parts of Bengaluru on Thursday, June 5, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The outage is necessary to facilitate emergency PT shifting work by the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) at the 66/11kV Banaswadi MUSS substation.

The power cut will affect areas connected to the 66kV Banaswadi–HBR Line and the 66kV Banaswadi–ITI Line.

Affected Areas:

HRBR Layout (1st, 2nd, 3rd Blocks), Kammanahalli Main Road, CMR Road, Service Road, Babusapalya, Balachandra Layout, Flower Garden, MM Garden, Arkavathi Layout, Anjanadri Layout Enclave, Divya Unnathy Layout, Vijayendra Garden, Mallappa Layout, Prakruthi Township, Balaji Layout, GNR Garden, Chelekere and Chelekere Village, Samudhrika Enclave (100ft Road), 80ft Road, Subbayanapalya, Horamavu, Munireddy Layout, Vijaya Bank Colony, Nisarga Colony, Nandanam Colony, Amar Agency, P&T Layout, Pappaiah Layout, Coconut Grove Layout, Ashirwad Colony, Shakthi Nagar, Hennur Village, Byraveshwara Layout, Chikkanna Layout, CMR Layout, Hennur Cross, Kenchappa Garden, Brindavan Layout, Hoysala Nagar, Brindavan Avenue Heritage, Vinayaka Layout, Jayanthi Grama, parts of OMBR, Kasturi Nagar, and Pillareddy Nagar.

Channasandra, Nanjappa Garden, Agara Main Road, Doddaiah Layout, Bank Avenue, RS Palya, ADMC Military Gate, Muniswamy Road, Muni Veerappa Road, Kullappa Circle, Rajkumar Park, Meghana Palya, Muniswamappa Layout, Yesh Enclave, Banjara Layout, Vijayalakshmi Layout, Trinity Enclave, Sankalpa Layout, Green Garden Phase II, Samrudhi Layout, Bethal Layout, SLV Layout, SLS Spencer, DS-MAX Apartment, and nearby areas.

BESCOM has urged residents to make alternate arrangements and assured that efforts will be made to restore the supply promptly after the completion of the work.
