“People’s Blessings Are Always With Congress,” Says CM; Credits Congress for 371J and Kalyana Karnataka’s Growth, Blasts Modi Govt on Inflation and Financial Injustice
Raichur: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Sunday reaffirmed the Congress government's commitment to development by inaugurating ₹936 crore worth of development works in Raichur constituency, declaring that “Kalyana Karnataka will always remain a Congress stronghold.”
The CM was speaking at a massive public gathering after inaugurating the Tribal Cultural Festival, unveiling the nameplate of Adikavi Maharshi Valmiki University, and participating in the 371st Dashamanotsav. The event marked a political and developmental milestone for the region, with the CM making strong political statements against the Modi-led central government and the previous BJP regime in Karnataka.
“Our government promised 560 guarantees, and 235 have already been implemented. The rest will be fulfilled within three years,” Siddaramaiah declared, drawing loud cheers from the crowd.
Sharp Attack on BJP and Modi Govt Over Price Hike
Taking direct aim at the Narendra Modi government, the CM lambasted the Centre for crippling inflation, saying:
“Gold, silver, rice, pulses, cooking oil, LPG, petrol, diesel, fertilisers, everything is skyrocketing. This is the result of the BJP’s failed governance.”
“Despite being in power, the BJP is shamelessly lying to the people. They have betrayed Karnataka, and no MP from their party has raised a voice to protect our state's interests,” he thundered.
“Congress Gave You 371J, BJP Opposed It”: CM Recalls Historical Legacy
Calling Article 371J the engine of Kalyana Karnataka’s transformation, Siddaramaiah said it was the Congress leadership — Mallikarjun Kharge, Dharam Singh and Manmohan Singh — who made it a reality.
“The BJP opposed this historic step. When Vajpayee was PM, Advani said 371J was not possible. Today, our youth are becoming engineers, doctors, IAS, IPS — this is our achievement.”
The CM highlighted that since coming to power, Congress has allocated ₹13,500 crore for Kalyana Karnataka’s development and promised to increase that further.

Thanking the voters of Kalyana Karnataka for electing Congress in all five Lok Sabha seats, Siddaramaiah said:
“The blessings of the people of Raichur are always with Congress. This region is our stronghold, and we will never disappoint the people.”
CM to Visit Delhi Over Finance Commission Injustice
“I will be visiting Delhi today to demand that the injustice done to Karnataka by the 15th Finance Commission be corrected in the 16th. I will meet the Union Finance Minister regarding this,” the CM announced.
“Daddal Has a Bright Future”
“MLA Raja Venkatappa Nayak Daddal has a bright future. He will win the 2028 elections,” the CM said, placing full confidence in the Raichur MLA.
