KSRTC Managing Director Akrampasha Bhaase inaugurates ATM at Terminal 1 along Dhanwanthari Road; inspection of facilities also conducted

Bengaluru: In a welcome move for thousands of daily commuters and KSRTC staff, a new Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) ATM was inaugurated today at Terminal 1 of the Kempegowda Bus Stand along Dhanwanthari Road, Bengaluru. Until now, the lack of a bank ATM facility in the area had posed a major inconvenience for passengers and employees needing to withdraw cash during transit.

Addressing a long-standing demand

The ATM was officially inaugurated by Akrampasha Bhaase, Managing Director of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), addressing a long-pending need for accessible banking services at the major transit hub.

Present at the launch were:

  • Umesh Kumar Singh, Regional Head, Indian Overseas Bank, Bangalore Zone

  • Shri Santosh Kumar Pandey, Assistant General Manager, IOB

  • Senior officers of KSRTC

"This ATM will offer convenience to both staff and commuters who previously struggled to access cash for emergency needs near the bus stand," said a senior KSRTC official.

Inspection of bus stand facilities

Following the ATM inauguration, KSRTC Managing Director Akrampasha Bhaase conducted a detailed inspection of Kempegowda Bus Stand, focusing on:

  • Advance ticket reservation centre

  • Commercial outlets

  • Contract vehicle centre

  • Cleanliness and hygiene standards

The inspection is part of a broader initiative to improve passenger amenities and maintain high service standards at one of Bengaluru’s busiest transport hubs.
