MD Akram Pasha hoists the national flag, recalls the sacrifices of the freedom fighters
Bengaluru: The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) on Thursday celebrated the 79th Independence Day at its central office in a simple and meaningful manner, led by Managing Director Akram Pasha, who hoisted the national flag.
On the occasion, floral tributes were offered to the portraits of Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, and Krantiveer Sangolli Rayanna in honour of their contribution to the freedom struggle.
Message from the Managing Director
Addressing the gathering, MD Akram Pasha said the nation’s progress over the past 79 years was made possible by the sacrifices of great leaders who fought for independence. He recited the entire Preamble of the Constitution, emphasising its core values — sovereignty, secularism, democracy, socialism, republic, fraternity, equality, and justice.
“We should protect these values and work with dedication to take the institution to greater heights,” he urged KSRTC employees.

The event was attended by Nandini Devi K, Director (Staff & Awareness), Ibrahim Maigur, Director (Information & Technology), along with senior officers and staff members of KSRTC.
