Bengaluru: Actress Ramya has spoken out on the arrest of Sandalwood star Darshan Thoogudeepa, saying that while she feels sad he is in jail, his recent behaviour must change.

In an interaction with sources, Ramya recalled working with Darshan in a film during his early career. “He was a light boy, he has come out of difficulty. Sadly, he is in jail,” she said, adding that he should leave the company of his neighbours, who are a negative influence.

Ramya said she did not personally know Pavithra Gowda before the incident. “She is also a mother and a daughter. She should not have been in this situation. Everyone gets angry, but before getting angry, she should think about the family,” she added.
