South Western Railway to operate one-trip special express service on August 14 and 15 to ease festive travel between SMVT Bengaluru and Bidar
Hubballi: Given the Independence Day travel rush, South Western Railway has announced a one-time special express train between Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal (SMVT) Bengaluru and Bidar. The move follows a similar recent special train service launched between Yeshwantpur and Talaguppa, aimed at easing passenger congestion during the national holiday period.
Train Timings and Dates
Train number 06519 SMVT Bengaluru–Bidar Special Express will depart from SMVT Bengaluru at 9:15 PM on August 14 (Thursday) and is scheduled to reach Bidar at 11:30 AM on August 15 (Friday).
The return journey, Train number 06520 Bidar–SMVT Bengaluru Special Express, will depart Bidar at 2:30 PM on August 15 (Friday) and reach SMVT Bengaluru at 4:30 AM on August 16 (Saturday).

“The special service has been planned to cater to the heavy travel demand during the Independence Day holiday. Passengers are advised to book their tickets in advance to avoid last-minute inconvenience,” a senior South Western Railway official said.
The South Western Railway continues to make special travel arrangements during festival and holiday seasons, ensuring smoother connectivity across Karnataka and beyond.
